We are thrilled to announce that the Centrica Foundation Zambia has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the INALE Consortium—a collaboration set to transform renewable energy and agriculture across Zambia!
🤝 Key Highlights of the Partnership:
Joint development of Agri-Photovoltaic (Agri-PV) projects targeting up to 200 MWp nationwide, starting with 20 MWp in each province.
Integration of solar energy with forestry restoration, tree planting, and community empowerment—especially for vulnerable groups.
Knowledge transfer, training, and skills development for local communities, technicians, and farmers.
Support for financing and sustainable business models to ensure long-term impact.
This partnership brings together Centrica’s deep community roots and INALE’s world-class technical expertise in Agri-PV systems, paving the way for green jobs, climate resilience, and inclusive growth.
As we close this week—and look ahead to a new one—we reflect on this significant step toward a brighter, greener, and more empowered Zambia. Together, we are building a sustainable future from the ground up.
We have created a large nursary that consists of 1 million Pine and Eucalyptus Saplings to fuel our massive tree planting initiative
The local community in Mufumbwe, is now empowered with empolyment and skills to help sustain their livelihoods
More efforts and research has been invested in to create room for establishment and maintainance of indegenous and exotic trees like Masuku and Mabuyu
We have engaged with different organizations and schools to help sustain our goal of a creating a greener future
